According to Specialist Homeless Services, there are currently 23 women or women with children who are homeless as a result of Domestic and Family Violence in the Georges River region. For these 23 DV survivors, many with young children, this time is especially scary and uncertain. With no safe place to stay, the dangers of homelessness are real.

"There are currently 23 women or women with children who are homeless as a result of Domestic and Family Violence in the Georges River region."

The Georges River area ranks in the top 10 regions of NSW for reported incidences of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). Adding to this, there are currently no DFV crisis accommodation services in the Georges River region. In response to this, Kingsway Care has partnered with Georges River Council to provide crisis accommodation for women and children escaping Domestic and Family Violence. This a positive step forward, but there's more to be done. We need your help.
